He was born in Ondo town, Ondo State, Nigeria. In 1970, he became a member of the Celestial Church of Christ in Lagos, Nigeria. Between 1970 and 1973, he attended the Pastoral Training Seminary in Lagos, Nigeria, and was ordained a Pastor. From 1973 (after graduation from Seminary College, and being a Pastor), he became the Senior Pastor at Celestial Church of Christ, Canal Parish in Lagos, Nigeria. His duties included, but were not limited to: preaching the Word of God, spiritual counseling, and intercession prayers for all God’s children.
