Platforms! Platforms! Platforms! Which one do I stream to?
For many of us who have an audience to reach , we usually spend more time on the social media platform that has the largest following. With Facebook in the lead, Instagram right behind it, Youtube, Twitter, and the rest (Twitch, Livestream, Ustream, Wowza) have us posting and crossposting taking up much of our time. There are amazing enterprise platforms for top level streaming aggregators, such as Teradek that offer great solutions for multi-platform streaming (Sharelink for their lower Vidiu Go series and Core Fleet Management for all their CDN workflows) but at a subscription.
With all the various live streaming platforms, which one stands to take the lead? Obviously, the one that has yet to release its stream URL for API developers to create pro app integrations. INSTAGRAM!!!!
As I meandered through my tech feeds, I stumbled upon a response from a user who offered a solution to the ever-elusive Instagram Stream URL. (Right now, IG is taking over the live streaming market quickly and multi-platform workflows have yet to come up with a solution to integrate IG’s platform into their feature listings.) The user mentioned Loola.tv (a fairly new platform that allows the desired multi-platform streaming option and at a price we can all appreciate….. FREE!) That’s right, for the price of a small Loola.tv logo at the bottom of your live stream, you too, can hit many of your favorite social media platforms in one click. Simply enter your google credentials and you’re in. Start adding the listed stream platforms and blast your audience with whatever rant or rave that you desire. As of now, Loola.tv has been able to integrate the following stream platforms into their web-based UI: Youtube, INSTAGRAM, TikTok, LiveMe, UpLive, and 17Live.
If I were you, I would get in on the early part of this wave. With companies like Loola.tv that trail blaze the way in CDN management, they will probably get bought out by one of the big stream aggregators and hike up the price for new users and give discounts to those who believed in the product early.
UPDATE: (06-19-2022)
Loola.tv now supports Facebook RTMP which is definitely a game-changer. This is definitely the live stream platform to use if you want to bring in remote guests and live stream to every major social media platform.
